Permanent post working on acute Paediatric Unit with additional High dependency area and Paediatric assessment unit.
+ To take responsibility for the ward, for a span of duty, on a shift by shift basis in the absence of the ward manager/deputy sister.
+ To work as a skilled member of the team and to provide high standards of holistic care to the child and family in a variety of settings.
+ Be an effective team leader and role model to junior staff and others.
+ Work as a flexible member of the ward team in support of the senior members of the team.
+ The post holder is required to be accountable for they own actions and of those directly under their supervision.
+ Post holder will follow clearly defined policies and procedures and the NMC code of conduct.
