Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Stayathome Team in our step-down facility in mid-Cornwall. The ideal candidate will be compassionate and dedicated to providing high-quality care and support to individuals transitioning from hospital. You will play a crucial role in helping service users regain independence, whilst ensuring their physical, emotional and social needs are met.,

  • Provide personal care to service users
  • Assist with handling and administering medication in accordance with care plans and regulations
  • Perform manual handling duties, ensuring the safety and comfort of service users
  • Support individuals with meal preparation, ensuring dietary requirements are met
  • Foster a positive and proactive attitude, promoting independence and well-being
  • Provide emotional support with an understanding, compassionate nature
  • Maintain accurate records and report changes in service users conditions
  • Ensure compliance with all safeguarding policies and procedures

    NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
  • Previous experience in a support worker or healthcare role is desirable
  • A caring and patient approach, with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and various shift patterns
  • A valid driving licence and access to reliable transport is essential
  • Knowledge of manual handling, and medication administration
  • Ability to work well within a team, and independently
