All about the Role
Peterborough City Council are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to work as a Streetworks Inspector within the Streetworks Team. The team oversees various forms of activities on the highway including: streetworks, road works, road closures, skips and scaffolding licences.
The post holder will assist in the enforcement of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA), Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA) and the Peterborough Permit Scheme for Road Works and Street Works under Part 3 of TMA; to undertake inspections, monitoring and ensure compliance with the statutory requirements along with the Council's policies and operational plans. The post holder will be required to maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues and third parties engaged in the planning and execution of street works.
The successful applicant will be predominantly site based but must able to attend offices in Peterborough. Candidates must have a full driving licence. A vehicle will be provided during working hours.
