Full Job Description
Student Mentor
Location: Stamford, Lincolnshire
Salary: £26,994 per annum (pro rata £21,836.23 per annum)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 33 per week, 39 weeks per year (TT + 3 weeks, 195 days)
Interview Date: 06 May 2025
The role requires a confident, friendly and helpful person who will be able to work under pressure and on their own initiative. The role involves planning and delivering weekly Personal Development sessions; providing front line pastoral support for their caseload of students and tracking and monitoring student attendance.
The post holder will be required to work the occasional evening to support with enrolment, Parents' Evenings, Open Days and other cross college events. Experience of working in a similar environment would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will be qualified to Level 2 or above in English and Maths and hold a Level 3 teaching related qualification. They will also possess excellent organisational and communication skills.
Finally, you will have the proven ability to work successfully and influentially as part of a team and experience of organising, managing and delivering learning opportunities to really change lives for the better.
