Full Job Description
We are looking for a Subject Tutor to join our vibrant Education team here at Portland College. This role will involve providing a high standard of teaching and learning in two or more specific subject areas. The successful candidate will be skilled in adapting lessons and resources in order to meet the needs of our learners. We are looking for someone who is motivated, enthusiastic, and passionate about working with young people and adults to overcome barriers to learning, and to support and inspire them to develop in areas such as health and wellbeing, independence and employment. Subject tutors will work closely with members of the Education team to enable our learners to reach their full potential. They will closely liaise with Progression Tutors to establish appropriate skills needed to support aspects of learners' study programmes and to provide them with up to date industry skills to be successful in the workplace. - You will hold a teaching qualification and/or a Level 4 Training qualification or equivalent or a willingness to work towards within an agreed timeframe.
- English and Maths Level 2
- TAQA Level 3 or willingness to work towards within an agreed timeframe, Successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and to provide proof of their right to work in the UK.
