Full Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker to join our Substance Misuse team at HMP Lewes, a category B Prison located in East Sussex. HMP Lewes is a busy remand male prison with a capacity for around 750 inmates. You will be working within the Substance Misuse Team supporting patients with their recovery from alcohol or drug addiction. Hours Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week 0900 - 1730, As a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Provide outstanding evidence based care to a case load of psycho social patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
- You will provide a programme of psycho social interventions, along with information and advice on substance misuse, alcohol, smoking cession, blood borne viruses and safe sex practices.
- Deliver non-judgemental care on a one to one basis and through group work, supporting the nursing and pharmacy teams in primary care within healthcare centres and on wings and house blocks.

- Knowledge and experience in the provision of structured psycho social interventions
- Experience of working within the substance misuse multi-disciplinary frame work, that includes housing, social care, healthcare, and mental health pathways

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £31,000 per annum FTE - depending on experience.
