Full Job Description

Our Disputes & Economics practice focuses on assisting clients with financial and accounting issues associated with complex litigation and international arbitration. Dispute resolution engagements involve preparing expert reports and providing oral testimony in court and arbitrations on forensic accounting, damages and valuation matters. You will be a key member of the engagement team and will be provided with the opportunity to experience a variety of projects working collaboratively on diverse teams with skilled, intelligent, driven and successful individuals. As a registered training provider Ankura supports graduates to train for and obtain an ACA or ACCA accountancy qualification or CFA chartership while working in a fast-growing dispute resolution environment. Responsibilities:

  • Support all aspects of investigations, complex global disputes, and other forensic accounting engagements, primarily including damages assessments, valuations and financial investigations.
  • Prepare and review detailed financial models in Microsoft Excel, including DCF models.
  • Review documents and collate research.
  • Prepare and review reports.
  • Attend and contribute to client meetings.

    Be in your penultimate year of an undergraduate or postgraduate degree; or in your final year of an undergraduate degree with a one-year postgraduate place confirmed.
  • To have, or be on course for, a 2:1 undergraduate degree or above.
  • An interest in a career in forensic accountancy, valuation and dispute resolution with a view of obtaining your ACA Accounting qualifications in the future
  • Intermediate Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and strong research and analytical skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Initiative, adaptability, creative problem-solving skills, and an ability to work well in teams.
  • Advanced technical skills such as database and statistical programming languages, including SQL, R, Python, SAS would be beneficial.
  • In addition to English, a second language would be beneficial.
