We would like to appoint an enthusiastic person to join our team as a Supervisory Assistant. Initially, this is to support our staff during the middle of the day - at lunch time and play time. This role requires you to be flexible, adaptable and be able to show compassion and empathy whilst remaining assertive. The role includes supervising the children, always ensuring their safety, engaging with them in aspects of play and conversation, overseeing activities and ensuring fun in a safe environment. You will:
- Supervise pupils during lunch periods to ensure a safe environment at all times., Over recent years, the innovative team at Wheldon Infants and nursery school has developed the Early Years offer to provide a range of educational and creative activities for our pupils in class and beyond. - Supervise pupils during lunch periods to ensure a safe environment at all times., Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and can be arranged by contacting Julie Cummings, Assistant Headteacher . Previous experience of working within a school environment will be helpful but is not essential. The hours are Mon- Fri (term time only) 11:30am - 1:30pm Paediatric first aid qualification desirable and you should be willing to undertake further training essential. - Good standard of education especially in numeracy and literacy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with staff and pupils.
- The ability to relate well to children.
