Full Job Description

We are looking for a talented Supply Planning Coordinator - Level III to join our team specializing in Supply Chain Planning for our SCS Plan to Build Department in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :

  • Efficient Material Planning: You will determine the quantity and order date for materials to meet production schedules or customer demand, ensuring timely and accurate procurement.
  • Expediting Orders: By expediting purchase or production orders, you will help maintain smooth operations and prevent delays in the supply chain.
  • Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance: Reporting any work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards, and complying with HSE standards, you will contribute to a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Quality Assurance: Performing quality checks on material planning master data and working with Quality to address non-conforming materials, you will support high standards of product quality.
  • Effective Delivery Management: Initiating purchase and work orders, participating in allocation calls, and collaborating with suppliers to balance supply with demand, you will ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Inventory Optimization: Collaborating with Supply Chain Planners to reposition excess inventory and managing part change requests, you will help minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Supplier Performance Improvement: Supporting the Deliver Supplier Improvement Process initiative, you will work to enhance supplier performance metrics and ensure reliable supply.
  • Team Collaboration and Development: Communicating effectively within your team and with support teams, participating in improvement projects, and completing training, you will foster a collaborative and continuously improving work environment.
  • RESPONSIBILITIES To be successful in this role you will need the following:
  • Materials KPI Management: The ability to interpret and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive improvements in supply chain performance, balancing trade-offs to optimize overall outcomes.
  • Plan for Every Part (PFEP): Proficiency in using PFEP principles to ensure the right parts are delivered at the right time and place, maintaining smooth operations across the supply chain.
  • Materials Planning System Utilization: Expertise in using materials planning systems to manage supply and demand, taking corrective actions based on root cause analysis, and occasionally using additional tools for problem-solving.
  • Part Change Control Management: Skills in evaluating and implementing engineering change requests to meet customer delivery requirements while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.

    High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience in an equivalent field such as materials planning, production scheduling, manufacturing, or inventory control.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
