Full Job Description

We have a great opportunity to join Factory Planning within the Supply Chain Team in Nestlé, based in Tutbury. This role could really help you broaden your experience within Supply Chain. As part of the Coffee Supply Planning team, you could be working with some of the world's best-known and most-loved brands, many of which have been enjoyed for generations. We strive to put the consumer at the heart of everything we do and deliver the best-tasting and most permissible treats for consumers day after day. As one of the major exporters of the UK and Ireland's food industry, our supply chain really is at the heart of all operations at Nestlé from sourcing raw materials right through to delivering the end product to our customer. Working closely with these customers and our internal colleagues, you will support the management of one of the FMCG industry's most complex and sophisticated value chains, putting the consumer at the heart of everything we do. A day in the life of a Supply Stream Planner Reporting to the Coffee Factory Supply Planning Lead, you'll be responsible for maximising customer service through the effective management of the availability of Coffee Beans. It will be your responsibility to ensure management of master data and timely delivery of Beans to meet production schedules. You will be responsible for managing the relationship with the third-party warehouse to ensure beans clear customs as soon as they arrive in the UK and are managed through to delivery to the factory to meet a short-term plan recognising all constraints within the supply stream to meet customer demand. Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Working with various stakeholders and suppliers to ensure availability of ingredients and packaging to meet production dates whilst appreciating internal storage constraints.
  • Creating and amending purchase orders and managing blocked invoices.
  • Supporting NPD (new product development) by managing pack changes effectively and minimising bad goods.
  • Reacting to changes in the MPS plan to ensure that we are making the right products at the right time to satisfy customer demands.
  • Working closely with Operations to create a detailed production plan that appreciates the constraints of the assets for both packing and manufacturing., We are committed to equal opportunity for all and we may collect relevant data for monitoring purposes during our candidate registration process. Be yourself, everyone else is taken!

You will ideally come from a background in Supply Chain or Production; however, we will consider people from other functions. What is important is that you can deal with a variety of stakeholders and establish rapport with a diverse range of people.
  • This role will require you to be attentive to detail, have a systematic approach and be process driven. You will have an overriding desire to not only achieve KPIs, but to exceed them. In addition, you will possess an ability to self-motivate and strive towards individual goals, balancing this ability with the desire to support your colleagues. Above all, you will push service delivery boundaries to ensure our customers receive the highest level of service. This is a great opportunity to work within a talented and dedicated team, in what will be a challenging role. In return we will offer you all the support and guidance necessary to succeed.

Salary: £35,000-£37,000 depending on experience + potential bonus + generous pension scheme + 12 flexible days on top of 25-day holiday entitlement + 2 paid volunteering days + other fantastic benefits! Championing diversity and inclusion is so important to us; when we embrace different perspectives and give everyone the chance to be the best they can be, we can think in new, creative ways that grow and enhance our business. At Nestlé we are proud to support and provide equality of opportunity that supports employees to effectively blend their work life and commitments through hybrid and flexible working arrangements, so speak to us to understand what this could look like for you. We would be open to discussing part time working arrangements for this role., What can we offer in return? Great benefits you'd expect from a business the size of Nestlé - in the shape of a competitive salary and benefits package, bonus scheme, flexible working scheme, 25 days holiday plus statutory holidays plus flex leave, pension scheme and a real focus on personal development and growth.
