Full Job Description

Are you a compassionate and resilient individual with a passion for supporting people to overcome homelessness and rebuild their lives?, We are seeking a dedicated Support Mentor to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of residents who have experienced long-term street homelessness. Many of our residents have faced significant challenges, including mental health issues, substance misuse, and alcohol dependency, and have struggled to sustain engagement with support services. Work as part of a 24-hour staffing team, with concierge support, to ensure the safety and well-being of residents working with entrenched rough sleepers with dual diagnosis. This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You will need to be adaptable, empathetic, and proactive in supporting residents to feel safe and empowered.,

  • Build trusting, professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations.
  • Provide emotional and practical support, including key work sessions, accompanying residents to appointments (e.g., GP visits), and engaging in activities such as walks or coffee outings.
  • Take responsibility for maintaining support plans and risk assessments, ensuring they are up-to-date and person-centred.
  • Step in to manage crisis situations as they arise, maintaining a calm and trauma-informed approach.
  • Carry out regular cleaning duties and contribute to the overall maintenance and health and safety of the service.

    Shift Pattern: Full Time - 37.5 per week. Shift Rota: Rolling schedule covering Early Shifts: 08:30 - 16:30 and Late Shift: 13:30 - 21:30.Onsite face to face service, flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as needed. Weekend & Bank Holiday Work: Required on a rotational basis. Flexibility: Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as needed. Onsite Role: This is a face-to-face service delivery position. Salary: £25,600
