Support Worker - Brecon - £12.60 to £12.80 per hour (depending on experience)
Full-Time and Part-Time Contracts Available

About Our home:
Our home is set in the scenic Brecon Beacons National Park, offering a peaceful and picturesque environment ideal for relaxation, walks, and engaging with nature. The home supports adults with autism by providing person-centred care in a safe, nurturing space. Residents enjoy a variety of activities, from exploring local landmarks like Bronllys Castle and Brecon's riverside cafes, to shopping in Merthyr or taking in the beautiful countryside.
A Day in the Life at Orbis:

As a Support Worker, you will be part of a close-knit team dedicated to meeting the emotional, physical, and social needs of our residents. Every day is unique, and you will help our residents enjoy activities that boost their independence, confidence, and personal growth.

Your responsibilities include:

- Providing personalised care to support daily activities, including personal care, life skills, and social interactions.
- Encouraging residents to engage in recreational activities, local outings, and community involvement.
- Promoting independence and celebrating achievements and milestones in our residents' lives.
- Maintaining accurate records of residents' activities, progress, and any incidents that may arise.
- Working collaboratively with a wider team to ensure each individual's care plan is followed, fostering a safe and positive environment.
- Assisting with general housekeeping duties and meal preparation to create a home-like atmosphere.

A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine passion for helping others.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships.
- Patience and resilience, particularly when supporting individuals with unique challenges.
- A willingness to learn and take direction from an experienced team.
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and occasional nights.
