Support Worker - LD Day Service

About the role
You will be working alongside a team of staff at our Victoria day service based in Whitefield, with usual hours of work between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday.
You will be responsible for supporting adults with learning and physical disabilities to get involved in activities they choose, either in groups or individually. You will be supporting people to use public transport and with activities like swimming, voluntary work, dance sessions and sports.
This is a physical job where you will need to move and position people (also called moving and handling) and help people who use wheelchairs to manoeuvre indoors and out in their community. You may also need to support people with personal care, like going to the bathroom or taking medication.
