Full Job Description

Are you looking to work in care in a non- traditional fashion? The Isle of Wight Council are looking to recruit a Support Worker to join the Goulding's Reablement Resource Centre on a permanent contract. A scenic 20-minute drive from Newport, The Goulding's is located in Freshwater and is on a direct bus route.

Reablement is a targeted, person centred delivery of care focussing on working with Individuals to identify and reach their own goals, supporting them on their journey to regaining Independence. The start of that journey begins in our bedded Resource Centre where you will enjoy a rewarding, dynamic and versatile role, working alongside the individuals who use our service, colleagues, and a variety of other Professionals along the way.

As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for supporting individuals with their daily living tasks such as personal care, their mobility, undertaking medication administration, whilst working in a person centred way to achieve the person's goals. You will work a range of shifts (0700-1500 and 1400-2200) and every other weekend.

We are committed to ensuring all staff recognise that safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and that there are processes in place to safeguard individuals who access services in their areas.

We work closely with local partners and are responsible for ensuring that effective systems are in place to safeguard adults and children at risk.
