  • Managed in partnership by St Mungo's and Next Link on behalf of the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG), the Respite Rooms is a 12 month pilot offering short stay temporary accommodation, providing a specialist gender and trauma informed service for women with complex needs fleeing or at risk of domestic and/or gender-based violence. In the role of Project Worker you will work as part of a dedicated team to provide a safe, high quality, positive and inclusive service to women with multiple support needs, who have also experienced domestic violence and VAWG (Violence Against Women and Girls). We are looking for enthusiastic people with experience of working with vulnerable people and an understanding of the needs of women experiencing homelessness. If you have good communication and listening skills, patience and resilience we will provide you with the knowledge and training you need to work with clients in a holistic and person-centred way. You should also demonstrate:
  • An interest in developing own learning around current DV and VAWG related issues, housing legislation, welfare benefit, and other matters relevant supporting positive outcomes for our clients.
  • Good networking skills, able to build effective working relationships and liaise with a number of internal and external partners agencies to achieve effective outcomes.
