Full Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional teacher to use their abilities and knowledge to work alongside the Subject Leader for French in the development of our new secondary school. We moved to our new, permanent site in the Chesterwell development in Summer 2023. The post will combine the opportunity to be part of an exciting and dynamic new school with the benefits of being part of the Alpha Trust, a supportive and high-performing MAT. The successful candidate will work with the Senior Leadership Team to establish a school in which all students thrive. We are committed to excellence in all that we do and are unashamedly ambitious for the future success of our students. The French Department at Trinity is a small, supportive and collaborative team. As a new school, we have a wide range of modern equipment and facilities to support learning. This opportunity comes at a time when we are developing our Key Stage 4 curriculum. This means the successful candidate will be able to enhance their knowledge of curriculum design and will play an integral role in preparing our first cohort of students to undertake their GCSEs in 2026. French is a very popular subject within the school, with many students selecting to study the subject into Key Stage 4. We are also committed to a wide-ranging co-curricular offer, which the French Department has enhanced with language clubs. As a new and expanding school, there may be career development opportunities in the coming years. We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of French who will:
- Be unashamedly ambitious for the future success of every child
- Place the highest priority on outstanding teaching and learning
- Model excellence and demonstrate a clear commitment to the school and its community
- Have the vision and ability to help develop outstanding teaching and learning
- Be a passionate advocate for our school community If you are looking for an exciting, challenging and rewarding role within a supportive trust and have an unshakeable commitment to improving the lives of children, we look forward to receiving your application. Appointment of the right candidate is also offered with priority admission for your child (subject to other criteria being met). Full details are available on our website via the Apply button. Alternatively, please contact Jen Impey, HR Administrator, on or email: vacancies@thetrinityschool.co.uk. Closing date: 9:00am on Monday 31st March 2025. We may choose to close the advert early if we fill the vacancy before this date. Early application is therefore recommended. Trinity School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Any appointment is subject to references and an Enhanced DBS Disclosure.
