Full Job Description

This opportunity is being advertised following the continued expansion and success of the department. The subject sits within the Health Faculty which has an extremely supportive team made up of seven members of staff, including a full-time technician. We all have a shared passion for providing students with the key knowledge and skills that are required for life beyond the classroom.

We are one of the few schools in the area to offer hair and beauty as a Key Stage Four option and hairdressing as a 6th form course. Our courses are VTCT Level 1-2 Technical award in the study of hair and beauty at Key Stage Four and we run several City and Guilds courses at Key Stage Five. We also have a stage hair and makeup club that all ages of students across the school are welcome to join.

You will be joining a school that has a vision to be an educational centre of excellence based on the principle that effective relationships are the key to positive outcomes. The staff team has a student-centred approach and we have a robust teacher education programme. We want to invest in successful applicants and help them progress through their own career. We are looking for candidates who share the same values as us as we continue to grow our team.

Further details of this post and an application form are available on our website: www.dchs-alnwick.org.

Further questions or a virtual discussion or visit can be arranged by emailing the school at admin@dchs-alnwick.uk.

Closing date: Noon on Monday 17 June 2024
