What we are looking for
We are looking for someone to join NSB following our recent recognition as 'Secondary School of the Year' at the Northamptonshire Education Awards and 'Comprehensive School of the Year' in the East Midlands for 2025 - the third time we have secured this honour in The Times and The Sunday Times 'Best Schools' Guide' based on our outstanding GCSE and A level results. Are you looking to become part of a History team of passionate teachers - all committed to delivering a curriculum that develops inquisitive, resilient and thoughtful students? Would you like to become part of a school community that has consistently secured 'Well Above Average' GCSE Progress 8 scores for the past 5 years and recognised as the 'Top Performing secondary school for GCSE Progress across the whole of West Northamptonshire' in 2024 with an extraordinary P8 score of +0.95?
We are looking for a History teacher with experience of delivering high quality teaching and learning and yielding positive outcomes for all students. The successful applicant must be a highly motivated professional with a desire to support students of a range of abilities and produce lessons that are both inspiring and driven by evidence-informed practice. As a teacher within the History department, you must have a broad range of historical understanding, recognise the importance of teamwork and be keen to join a highly effective team of subject experts.
How to apply
We welcome all interested applicants to arrange a telephone/video call so that you can learn more about NSB and what we could offer you as a member of staff. Please take the chance to browse our website to learn more about our past and how we are looking to the future as we became a muti-academy Trust in September 2023.
Application forms can be found via the school website on the 'Vacancies' page. Please send your completed application form to hr@nsb.northants.sch.uk. Alternatively, please apply through the TES or TeachNorthants portal. We encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible.
Closing date: 9am, Wednesday 23rd April 2025
Interviews: w/c 28th April 2025
The Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
