What we are looking for
Are you looking to become a valued member in a team of passionate teachers who are committed to delivering a curriculum that emphasises a deep understanding of science and encourages curiosity and success? We are looking for someone to join NSB following our recent recognition as 'Secondary School of the Year' at the Northamptonshire Education Awards and 'Comprehensive School of the Year' in the East Midlands for 2025 - the third time we have secured this honour in The Times and The Sunday Times 'Best Schools' Guide' based on our outstanding GCSE and A level results.
We are inviting applicants to share in our driven, supportive and aspirational culture who can help to deliver our curriculum to the highest standards. We are immensely proud of our curriculum choices across all key stages to help inspire students' intellectual curiosity and investigative skills in science. The ability to teach A level is essential. Our department is situated in a Science Block building named after one of our most famous former students, Francis Crick. The building consists of eleven laboratories, all of which have recently been remodelled.
We are looking for a science teacher with experience of delivering high quality teaching and learning and yielding positive outcomes for all students at GCSE and/or A level. The successful applicant must be a highly motivated professional with a desire to support students of a range of abilities and produce lessons driven by evidence-informed practice.
How to apply
We welcome all interested applicants to arrange a telephone/video call so that you can learn more about NSB and what we could offer you as a member of staff. Please take a few moments to visit our website to learn more about our past and how we are looking to the future as we became a muti-academy Trust in September 2023.
Application forms can be found via the school website on the 'Vacancies' page. Please send your completed application form to hr@nsb.northants.sch.uk. Alternatively, please apply through the TES or TeachNorthants portal. We encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible.
Closing date: 9am, Friday 28th March, 2025
Interview Date: w/c 31st March, 2025
The Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
