The Henley College

The Henley College are looking for an experienced Part Time Teacher of Sport to join our friendly and supportive Sports team.

You'll have the opportunity to teach a broad range of courses, including A Level PE (Year 1 and Year 2), BTEC Level 3 Sport Science, BTEC Level 3 Sport Fitness & Personal Training and BTEC L2 Sports Industry Skills.

You'll have access to excellent facilities and will be working with prestigious partners such as Saracens and Wycombe Wanderers.

Essential Criteria

  • Teaching Qualification
  • Degree in the relevant field or substantial experience
  • Level 2 Gym/Fitness Instructor qualification
  • Level 3 Assessor qualification (or working towards)
  • Commitment to active and student-centred learning
  • Commitment to keeping up-to-date with educational developments affecting the work of the College and sport
  • Energy, enthusiasm and the ability to communicate effectively with students and staff
  • Well-developed organisational skills
  • Work collaboratively with a committed team of teachers and support staff

Terms of Employment

  • Tenure of post: Permanent
  • Hours of work: 0.58FTE
  • Start Date: 22nd April 2025 or 1st September 2025
  • Annual leave: 66 days per leave year (from 1 September to 31 August) (pro - rated for Part time)
  • Salary: The salary will be on the Henley College Teachers' Spine from £28,024.00 up to £44,215.00 per annum (pro - rated for part time)
