We are seeking a full-time teacher of textiles and art to join our thriving art and design department in September 2025. This role will teach textiles across KS3 - KS5 and art at KS3. The department is made up of enthusiastic and dedicated teachers and support staff who work collaboratively to deliver outstanding results across art, photography, and textiles.
Pupils at Claremont engage with creative techniques such as felt-making, embroidery, beading, CAD, printmaking, and more. Regular enrichment trips to iconic institutions like the V&A and the Fashion and Textile Museum broaden their horizons and deepen their understanding of the subject.
We are looking for someone who can motivate and inspire students with a strong subject knowledge, contagious enthusiasm and a nurturing and effective teaching style. This role would suit an experienced teacher looking for a new challenge, or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) to whom excellent support and guidance will be given.
