Teacher of Theatre Arts

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and inspirational teacher to join us on a full or part-time basis from September 2025. We have a strong and vibrant creative culture with enviable performance spaces and have a clear ambition for this area of our provision to grow. We are looking for a colleague who has a real passion for the subject and its place within a truly comprehensive setting. It may be that you are at the early stages of your career and want to lay the foundations of a successful career with us, or that you are more experienced and looking for your next role. We are flexible to different stages and backgrounds as we look at the next phase of this successful department. This post requires someone who is an able and talented teacher across all three Key Stages. Whoever takes on the role will be incredibly well supported by both Leadership Colleagues and colleagues within the department, who are hard-working and genuinely warm, committed and supportive professionals. We need you to work with colleagues in the department in developing the strategic vision for the subject and to enhance the extra-curricular provision and performance. Of course, this runs alongside teaching great lessons; supporting others in the department to do likewise, building a powerful sharing ethos and team spirit and running performance spaces and productions. We expect to appoint a teacher of Theatre Arts who has:

• a keen intellect and an excellent academic background with a very good relevant degree
• a great track record of commitment to performing arts
• compelling personal qualities, an ability to form positive relationships with people and the ability to enthuse and inspire both pupils and staff
• a commitment to consistently contributing to the extra-curricular life of our schools.
• efficient organisational skills and an ability to work within, and to, whole-school systems.
• a commitment to professional development
• the ability to work hard under pressure, with a sense of humour and proportion.
