Full Job Description

The Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to support groups of pupils and/ or individuals with their learning. The successful applicants will have very high expectations in terms of supporting pupils in order for them to reach their true potential. You will work alongside and support the class teacher making effective use of resources to achieve the highest standards of learning and achievement for the pupil. The hours will be 8.30am - 3.30pm Monday to Friday including half hour lunchtime duty. Responsibilities include:

  • delivering RWI to a group of pupils
  • delivering RWI interventions & other planned interventions
  • facilitating the pupil's learning to encourage independence
  • implementing the school's behaviour policy to support the pupils
  • providing detailed and regular feedback to teachers on the pupil's progress and achievement
  • helping to make appropriate resources to support the pupils
  • establishing supportive relationships with the pupils
