Full Job Description

We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant Apprentice. As a team member of the school, you will work under the instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff to undertake work, care and support programmes, to enable access to learning for pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.

You need to be organised and have a willingness to study towards an apprenticeship whilst working. 36 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time + PD days) Monday - Friday. Holidays must be taken during school holiday periods only. 36 hours per week includes staff meetings, training programme and study time.

We expect you to hold qualifications that demonstrate a good level of literacy and numeracy. GCSE Grade A - C/4 or above in English Language and Mathematics is essential. As part of this placement, you will be expected to undertake off the job training., You will study for a Level 3 Early Educator and a package of other qualifications.

OR

You will study for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant and a package of other qualifications., This post is a designated customer facing role under the fluency duty and requires a specified level of spoken English as stated in the person specification.
