Full Job Description

Great Britain's electricity infrastructure is undergoing an ambitious, exciting and important transformation. Together with industry, we are creating a cleaner, greener system, one that protects the planet and serves generations to come. The Overhead Lines and Substation teams within National Grid, are building vital infrastructure to reach Net Zero., We are looking for a Team Administrator to join our team and help us perform. We need someone who can support the portfolio by providing administrative, organisational and communication skills and implementing and maintaining comprehensive, effective administrative systems. You'll manage the Programme Director's diary and organise team wide events. Arranging management and team meetings, you'll keep an up-to-date team action tracker. You'll also provide admin support for hotel and travel bookings, protective personal equipment orders, meeting room bookings and invites, and mobile phone orders. You'll monitor the team budget and produce management reports as required. You'll ideally be based in the South West, as you'll be required to work out of our site in Somerset for 2 days per week, with the opportunity to combine with home working in line with our hybrid working policy.

We're looking for someone with excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work to deadlines, with experience of liaising with senior managers and stakeholders. A flexible approach and previous experience of diary management, event and travel coordination are key as is the ability to maintain absolute discretion and confidentiality. You'll also be comfortable working with numbers and costs. Effective communication, organisation and document management skills are essential, coupled with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organisation. In addition, you will have a good standard of education (GCSE Maths and English or equivalent) and be proficient in the suite of desktop packages, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and Sharepoint.

You'll receive a competitive salary between £31,900 - £37,600 - dependent on capability
