Full Job Description

You will work as part of the high performing Youth Engagement Service management team and contribute to the continued development of Trafford's Youth offer. We are passionate about young people and making a positive impact in Trafford. You will be the lead for our Street Talk detached youth work team, our Childrens Rights team and our Independent Visitor offer. As part of the management team you will lead on a number of key priorities and contribute to monthly and annual performance reporting and business planning. You will contribute to the planning and implementation of the new Statutory Guidance, working internally and with our active Youth Network and wider VCS partners to develop the youth offer in Trafford. You will manage a dynamic and creative team, including Childrens Rights Workers, Youth Workers and Sessional staff. The voice of young people is at the heart of what we do, and your role will involve developing and supporting our engagement and advocacy work.

You will have a JNC recognised Degree (or higher) in Youth and Community work and recent relevant experience of managing youth work teams and youth engagement activities. You will be the JNC lead to support our Degree Apprentice Youth Workers. You will be a team player with excellent communication skills and with the ability to engage with a wide range of audiences including young people. You will have excellent organisational and IT skills in order produce regular high quality performance reports.
