Our Children's Services is focused on achieving the best possible outcomes for our children and young people. We are dedicated to creating an environment where social work practice can thrive, where Social Work teams are encouraged to be innovative and creative to ensure the services we offer to children and families help improve their lives. As the Children & Families Team Manager, you will be leading a small team of social workers who are responding to, co-ordinating and delivering social care services to children, young people and their families for children who have a child in need plan or child protection plan, including those who may be involved in PLO and court proceedings. As Team Manager you will play a key role in ensuring that our social workers feel supported and that high quality practice is delivered to children and families. You will demonstrate strong but compassionate leadership and provide a nurturing environment where practice will flourish to contribute to positive outcomes for our children, young people and their families. You will receive excellent support and join a welcoming, supportive senior management team.
- Have a relevant social work qualification
- Be registered with Social Work England
- Have substantial experience as a senior social worker or in a management level social work role
- Have a strong track record of overseeing staff and performance
- Have compassion and an understanding of the needs of children and families
- Have extensive knowledge of relevant legislation, guidance and practices

- A salary from £49,764 - £51,802
- £3,000 annual retention payment (paid monthly)
- Relocation support of up to £8,000 to assist with your move to Stockton
- 27 days annual leave per year rising to 32 with 5 years service. Ability to purchase additional leave is also available
