Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity with a local government team that values your skills and development? Swansea Council's Highways and Transportation Department is seeking a dedicated and motivated Technical Support Officer to provide essential administrative support to our busy Highways Technical Support team in Clydach. You will play a crucial part in managing public enquiries, by telephone and email. Your focus will be on providing effective technical administrative support while dealing with a wide range of highway-related queries. You'll be the go-to contact for site-based staff and will manage various administrative tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations for the various teams.
- Strong administration skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Experience in customer-focused environments with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with databases (training provided for in-house systems).
- Previous administrative experience in a fast-paced office setting.
- A detail-oriented approach with the ability to follow established processes.
- Experience in working with public services or a technical support environment.
- Welsh language skills are desirable.
