Full Job Description
Continually improve a systemic training mechanism (which would include a highly detailed skills matrix) to ensure all colleagues meet the minimum required technical / specific skills required for their role. Lead the industrial and technical training operations of both new and long terms employees in all UK locations being Rugby, Wrexham, Deeside and Northern Ireland, to ensure competency and compliance are achieved and maintained within our UK Manufacturing Plants. To provide guidance on systematical training according to the needs of operations (incl. skills assessments and training matrix).
- Coordinate the requirements of existing and new training and development programs
- Coordinate the development of new training materials together with technical experts and local trainers from the plants
We search for a Technical Training Manager (f/m/d) - with experience in a manufacturing environment. You are a person who enjoys imparting knowledge and technical training. You are open and confident when dealing with customers and colleagues. You have a distinctive intercultural competence and methodical-didactic skills. The role is based in UK (either Wrexham, Rugby or Deeside) and reports to our Technical Traning Manager, Ardagh Metal Packaging - Europe with a dotted-line to our Country HR Manager, UK. You share our belief and want to work in an environment based on trust, teamwork and excellence, challenge the status quo and want to continuous learn and excel., - Minimum of 5 years experience in training programs, ideally from the manufacturing sector
- Completion of a technical apprenticeship and Degree level qualifications
- Understanding of Apprenticeship programs and experience of working with the Apprentice Levy
- Experienced in various forms and methods of knowledge transfer, especially blended learning
- Experience with LMS (ideally Success Factors/MyLearning)
- Strong planning, organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage changing priorities
- Handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and adapt to a changing business environment
- The role is based in any of our UK plants.
- Willingness to travel (approx. 50% scheduled business trips) - Clean driving licence required
