Join our team as Telephone Fundraising Supervisor, where you'll guide Birkbeck, University of London, Telephone Fundraisers to success while earning £17.05p/h! Following a very successful that raised over £100,000 for the Birkbeck Fund, we are looking for a Telephone Fundraising Supervisor that can motivate and support our team of fifteen telephone callers during the upcoming Spring Campaign in 2025. Birkbeck's team are seeking to build on the fantastic support of our by expanding our community of donors and encouraging gifts that fund crucial university initiatives, including student support, widening access, advancing research, and enhancing infrastructure. As Telephone Fundraising Supervisor, you will:
- Motivate and support a team of fundraisers to champion Birkbeck's philanthropic goals
- Ensure the smooth running of each shift, monitor call quality, and process donations securely

Contract: This is a part-time, fixed-term role until 31 July, working 16 hours per week, during a 3-week calling period starting on 12 May and more - involves the supervision of all shifts which run Monday-Thursday 5:30-8:30pm, and Saturday 1:30-5:30pm at the University's office in Bloomsbury, Euston, London. The successful candidate will need to help with day-long training for callers on Friday 9 May, 9am-5pm and assist in other related duties before and after the main calling campaign. Closing date: Sunday 13 April, interview date: Thursday 24 April 2025.
- Experience in telephone fundraising at Birkbeck (preferred)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Happy to commit to working all shifts through our 3 week calling campaign
- Passionate about Birkbeck and have understanding for the need of fundraising in higher education sector.
£17.05 per hour, for hours worked. The rate of pay is made up of £15.22 per hour plus £1.83 per hour for accrued annual leave. The salary quoted is on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area. : a competitive salary and pension scheme, 31 days paid leave, flexible, hybrid working arrangements, generous benefits in the HE sector, and being located in the heart of Bloomsbury, Euston, London.
