Full Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join the Middlesbrough Mobile Rehabilitation team for a 12 month secondment. This post would suit an experienced band 3 assistant looking to progress to band 4 Therapy Assistant Practitioner The team consists of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Therapy Assistant Practitioners and Therapy Assistants. Patients are treated in care homes to facilitate discharge home following a period of time in hospital. The team aim to optimise their rehabilitation potential and encourage independence. If you are interested in community working this is the post for you, working in a friendly, supportive, professional team.,
- To undertake highly skilled work, support the Allied Health Professionals (AHP) in providing an effective and efficient community rehabilitation service within the framework of clinical governance.
- To work under supervision and independently in order to facilitate effective treatment of patients within the service.
- To carry out basic assessments of non-complex patients as delegated by the AHP.
- To accept patients delegated by a therapist and be responsible for the delivery of patient care. To use clinical judgement and freedom, within the scope of practice and be able to work independently and flexibly without direct supervision but to receive access to regular supervision from a Registered AHP.
