As the Total Reward Strategy Manager you'll support the development of our organisation's Total Reward Strategy - ensuring that as part of our employee value proposition (we call it Our People Deal!), it's market leading to attract, retain and engage the best talent and drive a high performance culture that delivers good outcomes for our customers. We're looking for a forward-thinking, energetic expert practitioner - someone who brings external best practices, latest trends, horizon scanning and data analysis to develop and enhance across the disciplines of performance management, reward, benefits and pensions. The difference you'll make: Are you ready to take our organisation's total reward strategy to new heights? Your purpose will be:

  • Acting as a pure SME for our Total Reward strategy - co-creating strategy for the future grounded in data and market insights, in collaboration with senior management and the broader HR team.
  • Designing and supporting on key performance management and reward initiatives to ensure that our total reward framework supports our business strategy and employee value proposition, critically monitoring policies to recommend new and innovative practices.
  • In partnership with Internal Communication, design effective and engaging total reward communications to reinforce our EVP and support the retention of critical roles and capability.
  • Driving a community of practice, responsible for being a trainer, coach, and facilitator for the Strategic People Partners and People Solutions team, sharing technical CoE experiences and skills, Breadth of Total Reward and Performance Management technical expertise in large, complex organisations., As the Total Reward Strategy Manager, you'll be part of a close-knit team, residing in the newly formed Performance and Reward Centre of Expertise (CoE).
  • You will work together with our Talent & Culture CoEs and Talent and People Experiences Team to ensure alignment of our strategies and that our objectives are being met. You will support the Strategic People Solutions team and Strategic People Partners, forming a community of practice to share technical expertise and ensure the Performance and Reward strategy is executed effectively within the business. What else you need to know: This role is based in Milton Keynes and our expectation is 12 days in the office each calendar month (pro-rata for part-time roles). We trust you to own your flexibility at times that suit you and your team.   • Proven experience communicating a total reward strategy in a clear and meaningful way.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to manage large datasets and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Santander operates, and how performance management and reward can support the delivery of the Bank's Strategy.
  • Effective team player, collaborator, and networker with great interpersonal skills, persuading and influencing others.
  • Customer obsessed to provide a super people experience. Curious and adaptable with a data-driven mindset. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.

    The Salary Range for this role is £60,000 - £80,000. As well as brilliant teammates and engaging work, you'll enjoy a benefits package that you can tailor to your needs.
  • £6,000 car allowance per year
  • Eligible for a discretionary performance-related annual bonus.
  • We put 8% of salary into your pension, even if you don't contribute yourself. We'll pay in up to 12.5% of salary, if you contribute as well, and you can take some of our contribution in cash if you prefer.
  • 30 days' holiday plus bank holidays, which increases to 31 days after 5yrs service, with the option to purchase up to 5 contractual days per year.
