Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Lancashire Teaching Hospital for an 18-month fixed term full-time training post in Echocardiography. This is part of the Echocardiography Training Programme developed by the National School of Healthcare Science and funded by Health Education England.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and highly motivated individual to undertake this post graduate training program. We are looking for candidates who will relish the challenge of being part of the team that will be taking our department forward into the future.
Main duties of the job

The Lancashire Teaching Hospitals provide for the people of Lancashire & Cumbria. The centre has a well-established invasive and non-invasive services covering a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic services, these include;
Cardiac angiography, device implants, device follow-ups, Echocardiography, including TOE, contract/bubble and DSE. All these areas are developing rapidly with new technology
This post will include on the job training alongside University based speciality training. Successful applicants will be expected to start the course in September 2025.
You will be required to holda 1st or 2:1 in Cardiac Physiology (PTP) or a relevant scientific subject (see person specification) or equivalent experience and appropriate underpinning knowledge and skills in cardiology.
