The programme outline is as follows:

Fixed-term contract with the host organisation

Placement with an Oldham general practice

Four days per week, on-the-job training

One day per week fully funded day release for training or self-study

Employment within an Oldham general practice upon the completion of training

Upon successful completion of the training programme, nurses will be given a substantive employment contract with an Oldham practice.

Successful applicants will benefit from learning whilst working during their training period, as well as the opportunity to share their experiences with each other.
