Full Job Description
We are looking to recruit to the role of Stroke Medicine Training Programme Director. This post is a Secondment for 3 years with the opportunity for a further 2 year extension., The Training Programme Director is professionally and managerially accountable to the Head of School. The Training Programme Director will focus upon improvement of learner supervision, assessment and experience, engagement of faculty and ensuring effective educational outcomes, both now and in the future., NHS England hold a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met., To support the Postgraduate Dean, Training Programme Directors will work across the spectrum of health and where relevant, social care, within the context of a team, so that the provision of education reflects changing service models.
- Demonstrable leadership skills and an ability to influence and motivate others.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, written and presentation skills. Experience and Knowledge Essential
- Considerable experience of working with learners or doctors in training in an educational context.
- Experience of clinical and educational leadership and innovation, including managing a multi-professional team., Primary clinical healthcare qualification.
- Membership / Fellowship of a College, Faculty, professional association and / or regulatory body relevant to the specialty.
- Currently working as a consultant in the appropriate specialty area.
- A continuing quest for personal and professional development.

The role is for 1 hour per week which equates to £2500 per annum., To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route you'll usually need to be paid the 'standard' salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the 'going rate' for your job, whichever is higher.
