Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and focussed Transformation Lead to cover our permanent post holder who is on secondment for 10 months. This would be an ideal opportunity for someone who is interested in leading service improvement projects at network level. The Thames Valley and Wessex CYP Operational Delivery Network includes six networks and you would be expected to support all of them, working on specific projects and work programmes. Please note this is a working from home job, travel within Thames Valley and Wessex is expected. Interviews will take place on the 11th September at Premier House in Reading The post holder willbe responsible forsupporting the ODN by:

  • training,coachingand supporting employees in improvementmethods
  • running improvement projects
  • supportingLead Nurseswith large scale change programmes
  • providingcolleagues with support and toolsrequiredtolead improvementprojects
  • analysing data and networking with diverse stakeholders, to produce compelling arguments forchange
  • communicating with a varied mixture of stakeholders from "Ward to Board"- providers, ICBs and regional colleagues
  • Keep in touchwith colleagues across other networks,identifyingbest practiceand projects that could be transferred toTVW

  • Engage with staff on all levels to help them understand the goals of thenetworkand how it willimpacttheir clinical / workingpractices
  • Work with clinical and non-clinical staff toidentify,planand deliver improvementprojects
  • Provide structured and 'on the job training' in the use of improvement tools and techniques and projectmanagement
  • Share good practice on quality schemes across thenetwork
  • Horizon scanning for upcoming quality improvement projects - staying informed with GIRFT and national programmes of care.
  • Work with teams to support service improvement using improvement concepts andappropriatetools
  • Produce benchmarking and best practice case studies to support the delivery and communication of theODNworkplan
  • Act as the network expert in running quality service reviews,maintainingdocumenttemplatesand supporting LeadNursesto run the review.
  • Project Management:
  • Develop andmaintaindocument templates for use by Lead Nurses
  • Responsible and accountable foridentifyingthe need for change control and any configuration management issues at projectlevel
  • Undertakes status review meetings among key stakeholders and teammembers
  • Produce progress reports on the projects ongoing across theCYP ODNsdetailing the progress against plan, next steps, and raising issues and risks, with mitigating actions and potentialimplications
  • Utilise MS planner and MS project to support ODN teams to manageprojects
  • Organisational Fit and Culture:
  • Have a flexible approach to supporting teams across all sixnetworks
  • Build effective and supportive relationships with key stakeholders to break down barriers andfacilitatechange
  • Support theLead Nursesto drive a culture of continuousimprovement
  • Work collaboratively with our internal and external partners to involve them in continuous improvement and improve the patientexperience
  • Workacross the full network footprintto share learning, reporting to specialty and CYP boards asrequired.
