Transport Supervisor

We are now recruiting for a Transport Supervisor to join us. Reporting to the Transport Shift Manager, this role will be responsible for morning dispatch and daily driver debriefs,

• Responsible for compliance of all vehicles and drivers.
• Providing skills required to deliver to customers on time and in full.
• Providing high quality services to suit customer needs.
• Providing support for distribution teams to ensure smooth running of operations.
• Making sure all site objectives are met whilst not compromising on health and safety.
• Holding health and safety at the forefront of all processes.
• Either seeing the vehicles and crew out in the morning or overseeing the return of all vehicles and crews, depending on hours worked.
• To be the point of contact for all real time delivery issues for the crews and to communicate with customer services.
  
  Experience supervising or leading both people and processes within a transport or logistics network.
• Experience within transport compliance.
• Customer Service.
• IT literate, with experience using MS Office and SAP.
• Manual Handling.
• Experience using Microlise Systems.
• IOSH certification beneficial however not required.
• Transport Manager CPC beneficial however not required.

  45 hours per week. Working 9 hours per day, predominantly working from 10am until 7pm on a Monday to Friday basis, however flexibility required to work outside of these times to suit business needs.
Please note, Bank Holidays are standard working days. You will also be required to work 3 contractual Saturdays over the Christmas period.
