Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our expanding UX team as a UX Researcher. In this role, you will work on UK and EU products within Cox Automotive, closely supporting our Product & Design teams to understand our customers' needs. You will lead the creation of useful, usable, and highly engaging product experiences while "owning" the discovery process from start to finish.
Objectives for Role, Discovery Process Ownership: Lead the discovery phase of the User Experience process, ensuring a thorough understanding of customer needs and behaviours.
User Insights: Provide impactful user insights at all stages of the product development lifecycle to influence and inform a customer-driven design approach.
Research Methods: Apply various research methods, including Stakeholder Interviews, User Interviews, Contextual Inquiries, Observation Studies, User Recruitment, and User Testing.
Collaboration: Work closely with key stakeholders across various cross-functional business areas to ensure research findings are integrated into product development.
Customer-Centric Approach: Champion a customer lens by conducting primary research and translating findings into actionable insights that drive design decisions.
Continuous Improvement: Continuously refine and improve research methodologies to enhance the quality and impact of user insights.
Proven experience in UX research, with a strong portfolio demonstrating the application of various research methods.
Ability to lead and own the discovery process, from planning to execution and analysis.
A self-starter, who can deal with ambiguity and can document, plan and operate efficiently without close supervision
Strong collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present research findings clearly and persuasively.
A passion for understanding customer needs and behaviours and translating them into impactful product experiences.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred knowledge/experience:
Ideally experience in marketing, retail, technology, or automotive industries
Ideally experience in both B2B and B2C environments
