Full Job Description

  • Manual handling to assist with the collection, sorting and disposal of waste and materials.
  • Quality checking to improve the amount and quality of materials sent for recycling.
  • Carry out housekeeping duties on site.
  • Complete a range of general semi-skilled works such as operating the weighbridge.
  • Ensure that the site operates in accordance with relevant policies, procedures, environmental, and health and safety legislation.

    If you've worked in the waste industry or in a frontline at a waste transfer site, that would be a plus!
  • A full UK driving licence is required. Experience of operating specialist equipment such as a telehandler and commercial weighbridge would be an advantage, but training will be provided.
  • A commitment to safe working practices and a good grasp of health and safety regulations.
  • Someone who shares our passion for improving our environmental performance.

    As part of a team of four, you'll support to deliver our waste transfer, recycling and in-house waste management services. Our overall aim is to reduce waste, increase recycling and divert waste from landfill. If you enjoy working outside and have experience of physical and manual work, we'd be interested in hearing from you.
