As a Works Manager you will be supporting multiple projects that enhance our environment and communities - from improving flood defences, to upgrading water treatment works and providing nature-based solutions that improve biodiversity. Our Works Managers are trusted and visible leaders, who encourage, support and mentor on site to enhance team output. The role of a Works Manager includes: - Early involvement in the design phase and providing feedback on construction techniques and buildability to ensure we achieve a "right first
time" outcome - Planning, coordinating, and executing site works safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively, in line with project plans, design drawings, specifications, and schedules. - Site inspections, reviewing method statements and risk assessments and delivering toolbox talks - Ensuring plant equipment/ machinery are in good working order with in-date certificates - Ordering and managing hired internal and external equipment daily to optimise performance and reduce costs

CSCS, SSSTS/ SMSTS - Understand civil engineering principles and practices - Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills - Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders - A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region
