YS482 Digital Print Operator **External**

West Yorkshire Police is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Digital Print Operator to join our busy state-of-the-art digital print unit, based on the Unit 41 Industrial Estate in Wakefield. This role is available as a temporary fixed term contract for nine months.

The small unit publishes a range of printed materials, primarily to support operational policing, and also internal initiatives, and external campaigns and engagement.

Your demanding role will involve operating all printing and finishing equipment within the unit, producing a comprehensive range of work to high standards within delivery deadlines and to full customer satisfaction., Applicants should be aware that it is not always possible to carry out adequate vetting checks on persons who have not been resident within the UK for the last five years. Therefore, where this applies, applicants may be refused because it was not possible to vet them to the appropriate standard.

You will have a good knowledge and experience of working on full colour digital print production machinery, as well as working on print finishing equipment, in particular folding, creasing, collating and binding.

You will have good basic IT skills, in order to assist with the ordering and dispatch of stock items.

It's essential that you must be physically capable of undertaking duties which involve lifting and manual handling.

We are looking for someone who can be self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as part of a small, dedicated team.
