Full Job Description
We are currently seeking a Senior ICST Design Engineer reporting directly to the UK Head of ICSTto join our team based in London or Milton Keynes., Technip Energies UKOC is seeking an accomplished Senior ICST Engineer with expertise in Telecommunication Systems for major energy transition, olefins, refinery and petrochemical projects that will be located in both UK and international markets. Role responsibilities include:
- Be a subject matter expert in Safety topics / items to advise other engineers / projects on paths forwards.
- Develop the Scope, Budget and Schedule for Design HSE activities on projects in line with contract requirements.
- Co-ordinate and progress Design HSE activities required to complete the job.
- Develop, check and / or approve discipline deliverables and studies.
- Manage Project Changes and provide cost estimate of the change of scope to Project.
- Prepare regular progress and status reports as required by client and Project Manager.
- Participate in engineering co-ordination and progress review meetings.
- Liaise with other disciplines for applicable engineering interfaces.
- Liaise with client on project requirements.
- Develop and analyse HSE solutions to specific job requirements.
- Provide technical bid evaluations input on HSE Studies.
- Review and approve all relevant vendor and / or sub-contractor data and deliverables.
- Participate HAZID / ENVID / HAZOP / SIL and design review meetings to provide input in regards to HSE.
A degree level engineering qualification - Lead engineer role experience through design, procurement and construction phases with a depth and breadth of experience in design from first principles of telecommunication systems infrastructure and design associated with chemical/polymer/power/industrial plant.
- Excellent knowledge of European, American and International standards applicable to the chemical industry which must include understanding of hazardous area requirements under DSEAR, ATEX, IEC 60079, API RP 500 & 505 and IP Part 15.
- Capability to apply in-depth skills and broad knowledge to address complex problems and nonstandard engineering situations. Capacity to solve complex problems whilst taking a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions.
- Provide motivation, leadership, mentoring and guidance whilst managing time schedules to meet objectives, forecasts, and resource requirements.
- Able to review, interpret and work in accordance with Client/Company standards and procedures.
- Self-motivated person keen to learn and work as part of a team with good communication skills
