Full Job Description
The post holder will be required to fulfil actions linked to the whole school attendance policy, working closely with the Assistant Headteacher for Student Support, Progress Leaders, the Education Welfare Service, families and students, to promote and maintain high levels of student attendance across the school.
The successful candidate will be a professional, enthusiastic, friendly and self-motivated team player and will be able to work well under pressure, have excellent organisational skills and have the ability to multitask. The ability to work independently is essential. Training will be provided where necessary.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an improving school, with high expectations and aspirations to become an outstanding school with the autonomy to research and promote new abilities to work well as part of a team, adopting a flexible approach as required.
Newport City Council is committed to working towards its workforce being more representative of the population that we serve and particularly welcomes applications from people from minority ethnic communities represented (or living) in the city. Selection will be made on ability and skills to undertake the role.
Newport City Council is not currently supporting applicants with sponsorship for right to work. In applying for a vacancy, applicants should already have the right to work in the UK.
