Full Job Description
The Kitchen Assistant supports the efficient running of a busy kitchen; we provide 3 nutritious meals each day to a large residential accommodation for groups of up to 39 children and their accompanying adults. You will work as part of the team to ensure the needs of resident groups are met and that the highest standards of nutrition, food quality, food hygiene and health and safety are maintained. We pride ourselves on being able to cater for a full range of dietary needs and cultural differences. You will have regular and direct contact with our visiting children and adults, welcoming them upon arrival and maintaining a warm and friendly relationship throughout their stay. Hours of work will be 30 per week, and the pattern of work will be discussed at the interview, but it should be noted that there will be occasions when you will be required to start work from 7am, and times when you will not finish work until about 6.30pm.
In return you will receive a starting salary of £19,047.60 per annum (£22,222.20 pro rata) and a range of benefits, which include:
- 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays (pro rata)
