Full Job Description

Reporting to the Europe Lab Services Director based in Geneva, your mission is to locally support the Perfumery & Beauty division in the creation and development of new fragrances. In your role, you manage the production of oil and application samples to meet our internal service level agreements according to our Corporate QHSS&E rules, our business priorities and the global best practices. This includes more particularly:

  • Supervise, train, and support a team of 9 technicians, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Manage and oversee daily operational activities, ensuring business continuity and service level agreements.
  • Identify key opportunities and lead related initiatives to improve the efficiency of our internal production processes, from the internal customer request to its delivery.
  • Implement and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) to guarantee the expected quality and its reproducibility.
  • Manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets, procurement, and resource allocation to ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, coordinating maintenance with our partners as well as evolutions according to the business requirements.
  • Oversee data management, reporting, and documentation to maintain accuracy and integrity.

    The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a background in operational management ideally acquired in a laboratory environment, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in processes. This role requires a proactive approach to business processes understanding and resource management.
  • Engineering or Master degree with at least a 5-year experience managing teams within a lab or in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Results-oriented, proactive and accountable
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective time management.
  • Excellent analytics and IT skills
