Our Team: The Programmes Office is responsible for maximising external funding into the Borough and for overseeing the successful delivery and implementation of the Council's externally funded economic regeneration projects, including Halton Borough Council's Town Deal Programme, UK Shared Prosperity Fund and Plan for Neighbourhoods. We are looking to recruit a full-time Senior Funding and Monitoring Officer to support this work; the post is based in our Widnes office (Municipal Building) with a hybrid working arrangement. Your Contributions:
- The main purpose of the post will be to lead on the monitoring of Halton Borough Council's large-scale externally funded initiatives, including European, Governmental and Lottery strands.
- The post will be responsible for the fulfilment of the Council's Accountable Body role in respect of these multi-million pound programmes.
- The post will take responsibility for the close monitoring and evaluation of expenditure, outputs and outcomes at both a programme and a project level reporting into the Combined Authority, MHCLG, ensuring that HBC is not subject to unnecessary clawback.
- Liaising and negotiating on HBC's behalf with a wide range of external agencies and organisations, including the CA and DLUHC, in respect of the monitoring of large-scale externally funded projects and programmes, thereby contributing to the social and economic regeneration of the borough
