The Doctoral College is inviting expressions of interest for the role of Interim Research Degrees Coordinator (IRDC) for a six-month fixed-term period.
This position is a temporary replacement for Dr Yoriko Otomo, Research Degrees Leader (RDL), and will be fully funded by external research funding. The IRDC will report directly to the RDL and play a critical role in supporting the management and delivery of research degree provision at the university. The role will involve committee coordination, student recruitment, academic assessment oversight, and research community engagement, ensuring continuity in research degree processes and a high-quality experience for doctoral students. To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
# Experience as a Director of Studies for research degrees.
# Experience as an Examination Chair for research degree assessments.
# A proven track record of at least three PhD completions as a supervisor.
# Experience coordinating research degree-level learning activities.
# Strong organisational, communication, and administrative skills within a higher education setting.
