The Finance Specialist - Fixed Assets role offers a great opportunity to grow your career in the world of Finance at our Business Service Centre in Glasgow. You will be an integral part of the team helping deliver business outcomes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing and reconciling various systems to make sure our Fixed Asset register remains up to date. You will have the chance to work collaborative with Heathrow project teams gaining great exposure to Capital projects at Heathrow, helping to resolve queries and ensuring compliance. As well as actively work with Project to Retire (P2R) Process and transformation team to identify and implement process improvements, giving you great all-round experience at what is set to be an exciting time for Heathrow. Responsibilities:

• Managing daily capital transactions within Oracle Projects and Fixed Assets subledgers
• Working in collaboration with teams both locally and in London to ensure the day-to-day operations are processed within agreed timeframes
• Supporting month-end activities, including reporting, reconciliation, and analysis, to inform financial decision-making by the Finance Business Partners and the business.
• Building relationships with our Finance Business Partnering team
• Ensuring that any systems and procedures introduced are effectively implemented and adhered to and escalate any continuous improvement opportunities and implement where appropriate, Join Heathrow's Business Services team and you'll help us deliver our bold ambitions, whilst supporting colleagues to achieve theirs.

• Highly numerate, demonstrated through working with numbers or through relevant studies
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working to deadlines
• Able to demonstrate a collaborative approach
Ideally, you'll also:
• Have experience working in fixed asset accounting
• Be a part-qualified accountant
• Experience using Oracle applications

Working location Your contractual place of work will be the Heathrow Business Services Centre in Glasgow so you'll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to work. We also have some hybrid roles with a working approach which offers the opportunity for colleagues to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow.
