The Head of Go-To-Market, SMB UK & Ireland (GTM) is responsible for the development of customer and distribution partners proposition, ensuring the right proposition is delivered to the right target market, through the right distribution channels, using all available communication and engagement tools. The role is reports to the Head of SMB, UK and Ireland and it is expected to significantly impact revenue and customer base growth. The Head of Go-To-Market, SMB UK & Ireland will manage a group of direct reports, working closely with the SMB UK and Ireland Management Team to set and agree objectives that align to the European and segment priorities and annual financial plan. The role holder will be expected to comfortable with matrix management and he/she will also need to engage regularly with a broad set of senior stakeholders throughout the Elavon business and champion initiatives at both a European and segment level. This position requires creativity, tenacity, strong business acumen, highly developed interpersonal skills, and understanding of UK and Ireland SMB needs. The position can either be office or hybrid based (3 days in the office) in UK, with an expectation of travel as required.,
- Be responsible for the management of direct reports and the alignment of their individual and collective objectives to the European and segment annual priorities and financial plans.
- Define and deliver winning propositions for SMB and Distribution Partner types, leveraging fact-based analysis of customer needs.
- Structure / be responsible for external / internal market, customer research.
- Design and implement a formal field engagement process ensuring all Market Insight from relevant customer and partner facing functions is consolidated and considered within strategic and GTM planning.
- Be a key business partner of Sales enablement team who own measurement of sales performance KPI, (revenue and product mix) including leading and lagging indicators, and RCA, using this information in the development of GTM plans (internal inputs to planning.)
- Be a key business partner to the product function and strategic project delivery groups, and understand pipeline, timelines and plan all GTM activity to deliver on an agreed business case.
- Be fully accountable for the design and implementation, either directly or through shared services, GTM plans incorporating external and internal data points to solve for In Year revenue plan, risks and opportunities at country, vertical, channel and product level (as each may apply in any segment). The outcome of the GTM plan is to deliver on both customer needs and internal financial plan.
- Work with Shared service functions to effectively utilize the specialism and capacity they offer in the effective execution of a GTM plan. Within this role partner with all segment GTM leads to support any prioritization processes ensuring the best European outcome is delivered.
- Ensure that the right European over segment specific decisions are taken through effective collaboration with GTM peers, where shared service resources need to prioritize activity.
- Own the development of the GTM function, and organization process to ensure optimal efficiency, no duplication across functions and continual improvement in expected outcomes from the deployment of GTM plans.
Knowledge and experience of proposition commercialisation and effective delivery to market - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience of managing senior stakeholders within a matrix organisation
- Ability to work within fast moving and dynamic sales environment
