Full Job Description
New Collaborative Learning Trust was created in 2015 by governors and senior leaders of New College Pontefract, an outstanding sixth-form college. Since then, the Trust has grown to include three sixth form colleges, three secondary schools and three primary schools.
Our vision - Our colleges and schools will make a significant difference to the lives of young people. As a result, together we will make a positive contribution to social mobility - can only be achieved through collaboration. Our shared belief is that raising outcomes, narrowing gaps and improving social mobility will be accomplished through proactive collaboration across all teams in the Trust, and between the Trust and its key stakeholders.
The Director of Inclusion will shape and drive a Trust-wide vision for inclusive education, ensuring that every student can achieve their full potential. Working in alignment with the Trust Board's strategic priorities, you will lead a culture of high expectations, access and achievement across all our schools and colleges.
You will provide strategic leadership to our team of SENDCOs, Inclusion Managers and senior leaders, ensuring the highest standards of provision for students with SEND. You will oversee the implementation of an inclusive curriculum, lead attendance improvement initiatives and develop best practices to break down barriers to learning.
You will lead the implementation of all aspects of statutory guidance for education and Trust policy relating to inclusion and SEND, ensuring full compliance and best practice across all settings.
The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in educational leadership, a track record of improving outcomes for vulnerable students, and a deep understanding of SEND, alternative provision, attendance and pupil premium strategies.
You will be passionate about inclusion, committed to continuous improvement and dedicated to achieving excellent outcomes for all students.
